Season 1, Episode 64: Denny Krahe – Runner, Personal Trainer, Podcaster

Today’s guest is Denny Krahe, also known as Diz. Denny currently lives in Lakeland, FL, though he’s a Michigander at heart. He’s got an awesome wife, a new baby girl, and two dogs that keep him running almost as much as his business DK FitSolutions, which provides personal training instruction to clients in their home or other convenient locations.

But Denny’s personal passion is running and turning his website into his living.

Even with all of the well-established and popular running blogs, Diz is not letting that hold him back from the pursuit of his dream. Just like any well-skilled navigator or savvy CEO, he knew it was time to pivot and adjust his course.

Therein lies the birth of the Diz Runs With Podcast. Not unlike myself, he has fallen in love with the process and is putting nothing less than his whole heart into it.

The “Diz Runs With…” show launched in July, featuring unique episodes, as Denny and a guest talk about running, life, and everything in between.

You can find him at www.dizruns.com.

Season 1, Episode 59: Guided Metta Meditation #8 with Michael Neeley

For today’s guided meditation, I will introduce you to a meditation practice known as Metta. It is the Pali word most often translated as “loving kindness”. Metta is one of the ten paramis (or virtues) of the Theravadan tradition of Buddhism, and the first of the Four Sublime States (or Brahmaviharas), which also include compassion, empathetic joy and equanimity.

The practice of Metta meditation provides wonderful support to your other awareness practices.

Loving-kindness meditation comes down to your intention – which is to wish ourselves and others happiness and peace.

May we be happy. May we be well. May we be safe. May we be at peace and at ease in the world.

Namaste

Season 1, Episode 58: No Thanks for the Memories (The Art of Forgetting)

In today’s episode, I answer the question of “What is The Art of Forgetting all about”. I’ll explore, from the beginning, where we got our gift for developing memories and where we crossed our wires along the way.

In addition to giving you a feel for what my upcoming book is about, I’ll provide you with some exercises you can put to use right away to start to unravel the automatic way in which we go about our lives.

As you work with this episode, think about the things you hold to be true about your friends and loved ones, your co-workers and associates, anyone in your sphere of life. Then think about what you know that people believe to be true about you. And finally, examine the things you hold to be true about yourself.

Please let me know your thoughts about this work and the basic exercises outlined. Post your comments and feedback and join in the conversation.

Season 1, Episode 57: Tapasyogi Nandhi – Siddhar Yogi, Visionary, Mystic & Author

Today’s guest is Tapasyogi Nandhi. Siddhar yogi Nandhi is a visionary, humanitarian, artist, ecstatic chant musician, mystic, author and teacher. Nandhi represents the wisdom of the liberated.

After being initiated through death, Tapasyogi Nandhi, undertook his spiritual journey through penance of yogic discipline (tapas) to attain his wholeness and come to understand a life of purpose. Nandhi spent the initial years through the depth of the spiritual wilderness of South India under the guidance of his Gurus through daily discipline, solitude in caves and pilgrimages while balancing a challenging active world as a householder.

In the next phase, he was guided by his Gurus to come to the West to represent Siddhar consciousness and teach in order to help raise humanity to its pristine goodness.

Nandhi’s teachings represent the wisdom of the Masters which has been passed on through an unbroken lineage of Siddhar Gurus for thousands of years. The Siddhars, the mystic yogis, are the enlightened Sages who journey beyond enlightenment. The Siddhars are the mystics of the ‘other’ spiritual India seldom known to the outside world. The Siddhars utilize yogic techniques to go beyond the limits of the body and mind.

Nandhi was blessed to have Gurus who guided him through this journey of wholeness. His book, Mastery of Consciousness: Awaken the Inner Prophet, is available now on Amazon.com.

You can learn more about him at www.Nandhi.com, or join his Declaration of Consciousness Movement today at http://declarationofconsciousness.com.
