Season 1, Episode 142: Guided Meditation #20 with Michael Neeley

Welcome to Consciously Speaking’s guided meditation series. Today, Michael Neeley, will be guiding you through an awareness meditation. Some would even call this a consciousness meditation, as it is intended to bring you into a deeper state of connection with reality. Not a perceived reality, but the reality of nature. In the simplest of terms – what IS.

Our existence is like music when we allow it to be such. We are all notes that comprise part of a magnificent symphony. Struggle and anxiety occur for us when we try to separate ourselves from the music; yet when we recognize that we are a part of the song of life, easefulness arrives.

A drop of water does not think of itself as separate from the stream.

We are all part of the stream of a greater consciousness. And while we often look at ourselves as the drop, doing our own thing, feeling our own feelings, and living our own way, we can easily tap back into our grander nature and once again feel our connection to the stream.

Anytime you feel the desire to do so, simply focus your awareness on what IS in the moment. Focus it so intently that there is nothing else but the moment and what it holds in all its richness.

Season 1, Episode 141: Shereen Thor – Life Coach, Author & Awaken The Rebel Founder

Today’s guest is Shereen Thor. Shereen is a life coach and the author of The Coolest Quote Book Eva as well as the Founder of Awaken The Rebel, a movement that helps people who feel disenchanted with their lives to stop settling for less and awaken their inner rebellious spirit so that they can live an extraordinary life by their design.

Born a creative type she learned early on in her traditional Egyptian upbringing that if she wasn’t a doctor, lawyer, or engineer than she would inevitably amount to nothing. In order to seem “normal” and keep everyone else happy she decided that she would forsake all her own desires to fulfill other people’s expectations. So she got a degree, landed a job, and found herself utterly miserable at the age of twenty-four.

Luckily one of her best friends suggested she go to a seminar where she was able to “Awaken her Inner Rebel,” and truly examine this life she had created. She decided to immediately quit her master’s degree program and start doing stand-up comedy. This was the official beginning of her writing her own Rebel Rule Book, and living life by her design.

This was the beginning of the Awaken The Rebel movement. Shereen decided to continue to make people laugh while helping them to stop settling for less and awaken their inner rebellious spirit so that they can live an extraordinary life by their design. Shereen is certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and is a Certified Professional Coach by the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching.

You can find out more about Shereen at www.AwakenTheRebel.com.

Season 1, Episode 140: Amy Scott Grant – Master Intuitive Healer, Clairvoyant & Author

Today’s guest is Amy Scott Grant. Amy is a Master Intuitive Healer with an uncanny knack for going straight to the root issue to get you “clear” in a twofold manner: first, her masterful display of intuition sheds light on the areas that have kept you stuck and frustrated, illuminating the answers and the underlying causes. Next, Amy uses her own unique clearing methods to completely dissolve and shift your underlying issues to quickly and permanently resolve your biggest problems.

The experience of working with Amy is not only powerfully effective and fast — it’s fun and fascinating, empowering and enlightening, and best of all — hilarious. Unlike other clearing methods where you must re-live the pain and emotional trauma, Amy’s unique style brings levity and perspective, making the experience light and spritely.

Always passionate, occasionally brash, but never mainstream, Amy calls it like she sees it in every situation. She has coached and mentored tens of thousands of individuals in more than thirty different countries, helping them to create rapid breakthrough results by permanently clearing millions of blocks, doubts, fears and limiting beliefs, at the deepest core level.

In September 2013, Amy was inducted into the National Academy of Bestselling Authors and received a prestigious Quilly award at the Golden Gala Awards in Hollywood, California. She was also a Thought Leader of the Year Finalist in 2013.

Season 1, Episode 134: Omar Pinto – Mentor for Recovery and Podcast Host

Today’s guest is Omar Pinto. Omar has been in recovery for eleven years now. But before recovery, he spent 4 years in denial about being a drug addict. His drugs of choice were predominantly alcohol and cocaine but he’d settle for pot, ecstasy, mushrooms or whatever was at the party.

During those 4 years, he lost his business, his friends and business partners disowned him, and his wife left him. Omar’s health was very poor and he was even exhibiting severe symptoms of schizophrenia and paranoia.

It wasn’t until his daughter was born and he held her in his arms for the first time that he truly surrendered and accepted that alone he could not win the battle against drugs and alcohol. In that moment, he experienced his first spiritual awakening and asked the God of his understanding to relieve him of his drug addiction, if only for the sake of his daughter.

That is the moment his journey in recovery began. He turned his life over to the care of God and began to feverishly work a 12 step program of recovery. Omar’s Higher Power restored him to sanity and today he lives a life beyond his wildest dreams.

So what does he do next? He pays it forward. Omar gives back what was freely given to him, each and every week on his podcast, SHAIR (Sharing Helps Addicts in Recovery), where you can listen to addicts and alcoholics share their inspiring success stories of recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

You can find out more about Omar and his show at www.TheSHAIRpodcast.com.
