Power Tools: The Ultimate Owner’s Manual For Personal Empowerment (Soul Rocks Books, 2013)

As my recent podcast guest, Jean Adrienne (Season 1, Episode 11) puts it, “The time for playing small is well past”. Unfortunately we didn’t receive an owner’s manual when we decided to incarnate and “borrow” these bodies for this human experience. In her latest book, Power Tools appear to be everyday devices, but these tools can improve the human experience, provide personal empowerment and build a reality that is constructed on a firm foundation of core values. Learn why you are here, how to use your thoughts to construct a richer reality, and how to create success in relationships, business, wealth and health.

Season 1, Episode 11: Heather Hans – Visionary, Healer & Teacher

In this episode, I get to speak with Heather Hans, an internationally renowned visionary, healer & teacher, and author of the book, The Heart of Self-Love: How to Radiate with Confidence. Heather is a professional speaker, video host, producer, artist, and consultant, using her experience, skills and talents to teach people how to love themselves and each other.

Born in an Indian-led, Colorado ashram to a Jewish mother, Heather recognized her calling as a spiritual teacher by the time she was eight years old. She immersed herself in diverse studies of mystical traditions and brings those spiritual principles into her social work; as well as utilizing them in the tangible, results-oriented business world to help people excel.  Her numerology path (a personality typing system discovered by many ancient cultures, teachers, and mathematicians) is 33, also known as “the Christ path” and the “path of the avatar.” Naturally nurturing and highly clairvoyant & sensitive, she is able to see beyond the veil and identify the gifts that people possess, as well as what prevents them from reaching their goals. She can accurately sense a person’s energy and identify their astrological sign and numerology path without even meeting them and is able to harmonize living systems, including people, organizations, relationships, and the physical body. These traits make her an unusually powerful teacher and facilitator.

Prior to founding her company, Love Heals Productions, LLC, Heather left a successful career as a university instructor and Certified Public Accountant, employed by Arthur Andersen and Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, in order to pursue her passion of uplifting people and helping them transform.

Overcoming a difficult upbringing exposed to loss, addiction, oppression, abuse, and physical ailments, Heather has reached goals she once thought were impossible. Celebrating her gifts, learning from her pain, and sharing her story have allowed Heather to emerge as a channel to teach others how to excel, evolve, and embrace their power. In addition to her healing and teaching work, Heather is a mother, runner, and active volunteer in her community. She lives in Boulder, Colorado, USA and enjoys a good laugh above all else.

The Heart of Self-Love: How to Radiate with Confidence (Author House, 2014)

Love is our very nature. From love is where we originate and to love is where we return. Nothing can break love. Love heals, love creates; love is the most powerful force of all. The Heart of Self-Love will guide your soul’s journey toward self-love, loving relationships, and Divine love. Without love humanity suffers – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When we cannot love ourselves, we suffer from a deadly poison; when these poisonous thoughts, feelings, and behaviors take hold on one individual everyone is impacted.

Living in love, including self-love, is both a large picture and small-details job. Tools for nurturing relationships and achieving radiance are detailed throughout this book as Heather Hans (Season 1, Episode 11) takes on issues of addiction, fear, loss, luck, health, and social justice. Available on Amazon.com.

Season 1, Episode 10: When & Why Self-Help Fails

In this, our first Sunday episode, your host, Michael Neeley will take you on a discovery of the reasons why your efforts at personal development (self-help) have fallen short or missed the mark.

While the self-improvement genre continues to grow by leaps and bounds, do you ever wonder why people keep devouring the material? Wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume that if the books (or workshops or seminars) were working, that we wouldn’t ever need to buy another self-help book again?

YET, statistics have proven otherwise.

From my work in the development of my book, The Art of Forgetting, I have distilled the challenge down to three basic elements, which I share in this podcast episode.

Season 1, Episode 9: Guided Meditation #1 with Michael Neeley

Whether you are a regular practitioner or a beginner, the intention of this guided meditation is that you stoke the fire of your passion for the practice. If you’ve been meditating much in life, a lot of this may seem very basic; however, it is always important to remember the beauty of its simplicity. So, please consider this a refresher.

If you are a novice, it will all seem new to you. Please enter it with the understanding that this is not a normal guided meditation – because there is no such thing. A guided meditation can take on as many forms as the variety of a butterfly’s wings. Today, you will be guided and informed simultaneously. I hope to dispel some of the prevalent myths and misconceptions about meditation. And while there are many schools of thought on the topic, in all of my studies on both meditation and Buddhism, I have found the basic premises to be the most beneficial.

The Big Leap (HarperOne, 2010)

In The Big Leap, Gay Hendricks (Interim 2015, Episode 227), the New York Times bestselling author of Five Wishes, demonstrates how to eliminate the barriers to success by overcoming false fears and beliefs. Fans of Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, and The Secret will find useful, effective tips for breaking down the walls to a better life in The Big Leap.

In Season 1, Episode 8 of Consciously Speaking, Katie Hendricks says she believes that this will be Gay’s Legacy book. I know my library would not be complete without it. You can get your copy on Amazon.com here.

Learning to Love Yourself (CreateSpace, 2011)

In Season 1, Episode 8 of Consciously Speaking, Kathlyn Hendricks observes the universal difficulties that people the world over have with loving themselves.

In Gay Hendricks’ (Interim 2015, Episode 227) own words… I first wrote [Learning to Love Yourself] as an act of love, to share an experience that feels as if it’s still transforming me in my very cells. It was my hope that telling about the experience could inspire the same profound life-changes in others. The many thousands of letters, emails and spoken appreciations I’ve received since then let me know that my hope came true.

The experience described in the book revealed the living mystery of love to me, allowing me to feel its sweet power for the first time. Because I suddenly knew what real love felt like, I was able to break free of my pattern of painful relationships with women. Ultimately it helped me find my way to Kathlyn, the love of my life and my wife for the past quarter-century.

The new edition is ideal for giving to loved ones (including yourself!) who are on the journey to forgiving, accepting and loving themselves. It tells you how I came to an acceptance and unconditional love of even the most difficult-to-love parts of myself. My fondest wish is that you use it for exactly the same purpose, with exactly the same result.

Conscious Loving: The Journey to Co-Commitment (Bantam, 1992)

One of my favorite books by Gay Hendricks (Interim 2015, Episode 227) and Katie Hendricks (Season 1, Episodes 8 and 208) is Conscious Loving: The Journey to Co-Commitment! This book is a “must-have” for anyone wanting to nourish and deepen their significant relationships. If you’ve had the pleasure of witnessing Gay and Katie together, you would know that they’re onto something here. They exemplify the idiom of “practicing what you preach”.
