Season 1, Episode 39: Bill Murphy – Author & Spiritual Explorer

Today’s guest is the author and spiritual explorer, Bill Murphy, a man who has always been interested in our spiritual essence, our spiritual paths, what happens after death, and why we might decide to return to this physical form.

Bill briefly studied religion in college, but also read and studied other spiritual belief systems.  He has always had a strong interest in learning about phenomena shrouded in mystery such as the Bermuda Triangle, Atlantis, Lemuria, the Pyramids, Extra Terrestrial civilizations, life force, and other subjects.

Bill spent a good number of years in the financial industry; however, throughout that time, he maintained a strong passion for the spiritual aspects of life and continued exploring energy healing, consciousness, and metaphysical subjects. He has also relied on his own observations and experiences in his ongoing quest for answers to the spiritual questions of life.

As his journey continues, Bill keeps writing about it. He is the author of the Amazon bestselling book: Driving with the Brakes On, and you can check out his blog at www.HighMesaLLC.com.

Driving with the Brakes On (High Mesa LLC, 2012)

Bill Murphy (Season 1, Episode 39) delivers the goods in his Amazon Best-Selling book, Driving with the Brakes On: How to Recognize and Renovate Thought Structures We Create That Steer Us Off Our Paths. It is about understanding the abilities we have as spirits and how they have been obscured or forgotten. It invites readers to begin (or continue) their own spiritual quest, and to explore and expand their own consciousness by reaching into new areas of possibility.

Driving with the Brakes On also describes how we are often intentionally steered off our paths into other directions by mechanisms in our current society, and how we unwittingly contribute to this. In many cases, we have gone far off our paths and become trapped by simply not being aware of how we created this outcome. Bill Murphy shows how to be conscious of and avoid these pitfalls as we move through life and how to reorient ourselves into living as we intended and stop “driving with the brakes on.”

Season 1, Episode 38: Secrets & the Dangers in Keeping Them

In today’s episode, I am joined by Audrey Hazekamp of Tall Poppy, Inc. (Season 1, Episode 3) as we take on the subject of Secrets. We’re not talking about the ones you swear to keep with a friend (although that may be included), but the little ones that you hide, often without even thinking about them.

Do you squelch speaking your mind because of what someone might think of you? Do you hold back on telling the truth in order to spare someone from having their feelings hurt? Learn to recognize the damages that these little “secrets” cause and the best way to address them as they arise.

We’ll also talk about radical honesty and the microscopic truth – both so valuable in living a conscious life.

Today’s guest is Melanie Elkin. Melanie is the creator and founder of Yoga’licious where she passionately supports women in re-creating a conversation around their bodies and themselves that is sustainable, uplifting, confidence building, satisfying, and makes them want to scream on the mountain tops “I am delicious”.

Melanie doesn’t do quick fixes or cookie cutter exercise and yoga routines but instead guides women to create something that honors them, their bodies, and everything else they do in their lives! When she found yoga in her own healing journey, she knew she had found a practice that brought her back to listening to her body and supported her in a radical self-confidence that wasn’t dependent on what she ate or how many chaturangas she did.
